Summary

The Sr. Manager, P&C Shared Services is responsible for the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and administration of all benefit programs consistent with the organization’s human capital objectives.

Duties

  • Ensure alignment of benefits and rewards with culture, strategy, and operational imperatives.

  • Monitor and evaluate the company's benefits programs, including insurance programs, retirement plans, sick leave, time off, and vacation policies.

  • Manage vendor relationships with benefit partner to negotiate benefit coverage services and costs with carriers.

  • Manage programs such as health insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, employee assistance, and other company plans and programs.

  • Maintain knowledge of government regulations, benefit program trends, and practices among similar organizations.

  • Work with accounting, legal, and tax departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with all tax laws related to benefits programs.

  • Lead the preparation and communication of information to current and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures

  • Manage annual 401(K), WC, and Benefit Welfare audits and filing of 5500’s.

  • Manage leave of absence and workers comp (partner with EH&S) and Defense Base Act (DBA) insurance administration.

  • Lead SME and change agent for Workday Benefits

Experience

  • 10+ years of benefits experience in roles or increasing responsibility in areas of HR.

  • Knowledge, understanding, and application of Federal and State employment laws: ERISA, FLMA, FLSA, EEO, ADA, etc. required.

  • Experience working with HRIS systems.

  • Expertise in the design, development, implementation, and administration of all types of benefits programs.

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field.

  • Prior Workday experience preferred.

  • Experience with multiple large, company-wide program implementations

  • Able to work effectively and efficiently across functions and have a proven track record of working successfully across multiple levels of an organization

Physical Demands

The salary range for this role is:

$133,630 - $189,420
